Analysis of the Current Status and Influencing Factors of Anxiety and Depression Among Medical Staff in Secondary-Level Hospitals and Community Healthcare Centers in Qingpu District of Shanghai

Abstract:OBJECTIVE Investigate the current status of anxiety and depression among medical staff in Secondary-Level Hospitals and Community Healthcare Centers in Qingpu District of Shanghai,and analyze the influencing factors.METHODS Using cluster sampling,2 393 on duty medical staff from all non tertiary public hospitals in Qingpu District of Shanghai were selected as the research subjects,and their anxiety and depression were investigated using the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale.RESULTS The detection rate of anxiety symptoms was 22.23%(532/2 393),and the detection rate of depression symptoms was 29.92%(716/2 393).The results of logistic regression analysis showed that the detection rate of anxiety and depression among medical staff in secondary hospitals and medical positions was higher than that in community health service centers and other positions;the detection rate of anxiety was higher among medical staff with a bachelor's degree or above compared to those with a college degree or below;the detection rate of depression was higher among male,married,and non managerial medical staff compared to female,unmarried,and managerial staff,and the differences were all statistically significant(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The anxiety and depression of medical staff in Secondary-Level Hospitals and Community Healthcare Centers in Qingpu District of Shanghai are relatively severe.The higher-level departments should formulate relevant systems for psychological health services for medical staff,adopt different management methods according to the individual needs of medical staff,and carry out targeted psychological health counseling to alleviate their anxiety and depression.
