Analysis of the Management Status of Severe Mental Disorder Patients in Tianshui from 2019 to 2024

Abstract:OBJECTIVE To analyze the management and medication adherence of patients with severe mental disorders in Tianshui from 2019 to 2024,to provide a basis for improving the prevention and control measures for severe mental disorder in Tianshui in the next step.METHODS Collecting patients with severe mental disorders reported to the"Gansu Province Mental Health Surveillance System"from 2019 to 2024 in 5 counties and 2 districts,and used SPSS 26.0 for data analysis.RESULTS Until December 31,2024,there were a total of 20 220 registered patients with severe mental disorders in Tianshui,mainly male,with a large proportion of farmers and impoverished patients.The reported incidence rate in Tianshui from 2019 to 2024,the standardized management rate of registered patients,the regular medication rate of registered patients showed an upward trend with increasing years,among which the regular medication rate of registered patients showed a significant upward trend,and the difference was statistically significant(x2=608.99,787.10,14.87,P<0.01).CONCLUSION The economic status of patients with severe mental disorders in Tianshui is poor,the regular medication adherence rate of registered patients needs to be further improved.It is suggested to integrate departmental resources to increase the efforts of rescue and assistance for patients popularize scientific knowledge about mental diseases,effectively improve patients' awareness of taking medicine actively and persistently,enhance patients' medication compliance,reduce the risk of patientsing public safety,and maintain social harmony and stability.
