A Case Report on Henoch-Schonlein Purpura(Mixed Type)Occurring After Vaccination of Rabies Vaccine in Shouguang

Abstract:OBJECTIVES To investigate and analyze the suspected case of a child with Henoch-Schonlein purpura(HSP,mixed type)after vaccination with Rabies vaccine(RabV)in Shouguang,to understand the association between the disease and vaccination,to provide reference for investigation and treatment of such abnormal reactions of vaccination.METHODS The relevant data of recipient,vaccination unit and vaccine manufacturers were collected.Investigation and diagnosis were carried out about immunization abnormal reaction(Adverse events following immunization,AEFI),to analyze the relationship between the incidence of HSP(mixed type)and RabV,and to form the investigation diagnosis.RESULTS According to the clinical manifestations such as rash morphology and abdominal pain of the child,combined with the medical records of the hospitals,the diagnosis expert group of the investigation and diagnosis of abnormal vaccination reactions in Shouguang considered that the diagnosis was consistent with"HSP(mixed type)".It was related to RabV injection,which was due to the abnormal reaction of vaccination.CONCLUSION Rabies vaccination is an important measure to prevent rabies.If abnormal signs occur after vaccination,it should be treated promptly and correctly.
