Abstract:OBJECTIVE To analyze the epidemiological characteristics and pathogen types of hand, foot and mouth disease in Zoucheng from 2013 to 2023,and provide a basis for scientifically formulating prevention and control strategies.METHODS Statistical analysis was conducted on the case data and monitoring results of hand, foot, and mouth reported cases in Zoucheng from 2013 to 2023.RESULTS 5 651 cases of hand, foot and mouth disease were reported in Zoucheng from 2013 to 2023,including 8 severe cases and 1 death case. The severe rate was 0.14%,the case fatality rate was 0.02%,and the annual average incidence rate was 44.61/105.The top three regions with annual average incidence rate were Fushan Street(76.92/105),Gangshan Street(71.36/105)and Qianquan Street(60.17/105).Most years exhibit a"unimodal distribution",with the peak of hand, foot, and mouth disease incidence occurring from May to August. The incidence rate of male(8.07/105)was higher than that of female(3.65/105).The highest proportion of reported cases among dispersed children was 73.39%,and the 0~3 age group accounted for the highest proportion of 61.19%of the total reported cases.541 pathogenic samples were monitored, with a positive rate of 75.60%,and other types of enteroviruses accounted for 27.73%.CONCLUSION The dominant pathogenic pathogens have been constantly changing, and it is necessary to increase pathogen typing monitoring and take preventive measures such as vaccination and health education for key populations.
