Abstract:OBJECTIVE To explore the willingness of parents in Taizhou to enroll in compensation insurance for adverse events following immunization and its related influencing factors.METHODS In March of 2024,A multi-stage stratified random sampling method was used.Six administrative districts in Taizhou were selected, with four streets/townships sampled from each district(2 from urban areas and two from rural areas).Parents of children aged 0~1 years attending vaccination clinics in these streets/townships were randomly selected for the survey. An online questionnaire was utilized to collect basic information about the children and par-ents,to assess their awareness of compensation insurance for adverse reactions, and to understand their willingness to enroll.A multi-factor logistic regression analysis was used to identify the influencing factors for parents'purchase of compensation insur-ance.RESULTS 72.33%of parents have already purchased compensation insurance for adverse reactions to vaccination.Logistic re-gression analysis showed that parents living in urban areas(OR=1.863,95%CI:1.428~2.257),those who or whose acquaintances had experienced adverse events following immunization(AEFI)(OR=1.629,95%CI:1.176~2.431),and those aware of vaccination compensation insurance(OR=3.066,95%CI:2.070~4.514)were more likely to express a willingness to enroll.CONCLUSION Ur-ban residence, personal experiences of AEFI,and awareness of compensation insurance are key factors influencing the acceptance of compensation insurance for adverse reactions to vaccination.
