Epidemic Characteristics of AIDS in Hexi District of Tianjin from 2005 to 2023

Abstract：OBJECTIVE To analyze the epidemic characteristics of AIDS in Hexi District of Tianjin from 2005 to 2023,and to provide scientific basis for curbing the spread of AIDS and formulating comprehensive and effective prevention and control measures.METHODS The data of HIV/AIDS cases in Hexi District from 2005 to 2023 were extracted through the AIDS comprehensive prevention and control information system of China Disease Control and Prevention Information System,and statistically analyzed by WPS 2024 and SPSS 23.0 software.RESULTS There were 479 new cases of HIV/AIDS reported in Hexi District from 2005 to 2023,including 295 cases of HIV/AIDS and 184 cases of AIDS.There were HIV/AIDS cases reported in 14 streets in Hexi District.The sex ratio of male to female was 19.83∶1,and the main transmission route was homosexual transmission(82.7%),which was 4.77 times that of other infection modes.Han people accounted for 97.5%,unmarried people accounted for 59.7%,college students and above 58.2%,household workers and unemployed people accounted for 30.5%,medical institutions accounted for 47.8%.There was a statistically significant difference in the age of reported infection between male and female(t=-2.61,P＜0.05).The age group＜50 years old accounted for 69.3%,and the age group≥50 years old accounted for 30.7%,and the age group composition of newly reported infections in different years had statistical significance(χ2=0.022,P＜0.05).There were significant differences in gender,education,occupation,transmission route,marital status and disease name among different age groups(P＜0.05).CONCLUSION The situation of AIDS prevention and control in Hexi District is still serious.In the following work,it should strengthen the propaganda and education of unmarried men,young students and elderly groups,and take various forms of intervention measures.At the same time,it is necessary to expand the scope of VCT detection and screening,improve the awareness of the broad masses of AIDS,and reduce the risk of AIDS infection.
