Analysis of Physical Examination Results of Elderly People Aged 65 Years and above in Yinhang Community of Yangpu District in Shanghai in 2023

Abstract:OBJECTIVE To analyze the results of health examinations for elderly people aged 65 years and above in order to understand their health status and provide a basis for community-based elderly health management.METHODS The information of health examinations for the elderly people aged 65 years and above in Yonghang Community of Shanghai in 2023 was collected,including the history of hypertension and diabetes,BMI,blood pressure,blood sugar,blood lipids,B-ultrasound,and electrocardiography.RESULTS 2 347 elderly people were examined,including 1 035 men and 1 312 women.2.73%of them were underweight,37.79%were overweight,10.35%were obese.46.23%of elderly people had high blood pressure,988 had a history of hypertension,27.44%had high blood sugar,367 had a history of diabetes,66.13%had abnormal blood lipids,59.48%had abnormal B-ultrasound,and 47.85%had abnormal electrocardiography.Men had higher rates of being overweight,obese,having abnormal blood pressure,blood sugar,electrocardiography,and B-ultrasound than women(P<0.05).In terms of dyslipidemia,the detection rate among women was higher than that among men,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).CONCLUSION In Yinhang Community of Yangpu in Shanghai,elderly people aged 65 years and above have a high incidence of obesity,abnormal blood lipids,hypertension,and diabetes.It suggested the importance of strengthening the intervention of healthy lifestyle of the elderly and strengthening the standardized management of chronic diseases in community management.
