Analysis on the Monitoring of Radioactive Hazard Factors in Non-Medical Radiation Institutions in Jining

Abstract:OBJECTIVE Through the analysis of radiation hazard factors monitoring in non-medical radiation institutions in Jining in 2023,the problems of health management and radiation protection were found to provide scientific basis for radiation protection in non-medical radiation institutions.METHODS An investigation was carried out on the types of radiation hazard factors,equipment configuration,health management and personal protective equipment of 58 non-medical radiation institutions in 11 counties(cities and districts),and on-site testing of workplace radiation levels was carried out in 15 of them.RESULTS 58 non-medical radiation institutions in Jining involve 6 types of exposure,with 76 radiation devices,403 radioactive sources,and 286 radiation workers.In 2023,the radiation protection training rate was 100%,the personal dose monitoring rate was 98.25%and the occupational health examination rate was 95.80%,the qualified rate of radiation protection detection in the workplace of 15 units was 100.00%.CONCLUSION The status of health management and radiation protection of non-medical radiation institutions in Jining is good,and the radiation work environment is generally safe,but the responsibilities of health departments,health supervision and law enforcement agencies,enterprises and individuals should still be well implemented to ensure the occupational health of radiation workers.
