Abstract:OBJECTIVE To explore the structural variation of hospital costs for acute myocardial infarction patients in a certain Tertiary Hospital in Henan, and provide reference for rational control of medical costs.METHODS The first pages of inpatient medical records of 9 812 patients with acute myocardial infarction admitted to a tertiary grade A hospital in Henan from 2020 to 2023 were extracted from the hospital's medical record information system.A total of 9 794 valid cases were finally included.Descriptive analysis was conducted on the inpatient expenses. The structural change degree analysis method was used to explore the changes in the composition of inpatient expenses for patients with acute myocardial infarction.RESULTS The average annual growth rate of total medical costs for patients with acute myocardial infarction from 2020 to 2023 was-12.80%,and the average hospitalization expenses were 62 583.81 yuan. The total structural variation of medical expenses was 32.81%.The contribution rates of consumables cost(50.00%),drug cost(16.31%),surgical treatment cost(13.58%)and diagnosis cost(13.49%)to the structural change of inpatient cost were the top four, and the acute myocardial infarction rate was 93.38%.CONCLUSION The medical costs burden of acute myocardial infarction hospitalized patients showed a decreasing trend in a certain grade A class three hospital of Henan from 2020 to 2023.The medical costs were mainly consumable cost, drug cost and diagnostic cost.It was suggested to continuous control of these three types of expenses can effectively reduce the burden of hospitalization expenses.
