Investigation on the Demand of Medical and Nursing Combined Elderly Care Service in Changsha

Abstract:OBJECTIVE To investigate the current situation and demand for healthcare and nursing services in the integration of healthcare and nursing in Changsha,and provide decision support for formulating and improving nursing service policies.METHODS A questionnaire survey and on-site investigation were conducted on 541 elderly people in various districts of Changsha.RESULTS The use of healthcare and nursing services in Changsha's integrated healthcare and nursing services was affected by the elderly's health status,economic status,medical expenses,and level of awareness of integrated healthcare and nursing services.There were problems such as heavy economic burden on the elderly population,insufficient promotion of integrated healthcare and nursing services concepts,and need to improve the quality of nursing services.CONCLUSION In promoting integrated healthcare and nursing services in Changsha,consideration should be given to the current supply and demand situation,and the quality of integrated healthcare and nursing services can be improved through means such as clarifying the government's role,strengthening policy guidance,promoting cross-departmental cooperation,improving coordination and communication mechanisms,optimizing the talent training system,and reducing the operating costs of nursing institutions.
