Comparative Analysis of Physical Examination Results of Elderly People Aged 60 Years and above in Jinqiao Community of Pudong New District of Shanghai in 2019 and 2023

Abstract:OBJECTIVE To analyze the health examination results of the elderly aged 60 years and above before and after the epidemic in 2019 and 2023,and to understand the dynamic change of the health status of the elderly in the jurisdiction by comparing and analyzing the abnormal detection rates of the main physical examination indicators in the two years,so as to provide reference for the formulation of health management plans for the elderly in the jurisdiction.METHODS Elderly people in Jinqiao Community of Pudong New Area of Shanghai were selected as the research subjects in 2019 and 2023.Missing items were excluded.5 952 people were enrolled in 2019 and 6 196 people were enrolled in 2023.The main physical examination items include the collection of disease history,height,weight,blood pressure,blood glucose,blood lipid,blood uric acid,electrocardiogram and abdominal B-ultrasonography.RESULTS In 2023,the detection rates of hyper TC-emia,hyper TG-emia,hyper LDL-C-emia,low HDL-C-emia,hyperuricemia and high blood pressure(42.2%,38.2%,29.7%,15.7%,18.1%,47.5%)were higher than those in 2019(34.0%,35.6%,17.9%,12.5%,16.4%,45.3%),the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The abnormal BMI detection rate of 55.4%in 2023 was lower than 62.9%in 2019,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the detection rate of hyperglycemia between the two years(P>0.05).CONCLUSION The detection rate of high blood pressure,hyperlipidemia and hyperuricemia in the elderly aged 60 and above in the jurisdiction showed an increasing trend,and the residents had improved in weight control,suggesting that early intervention and health education should be strengthened for hypertension,dyslipidemia and hyperuricemia in the elderly in the jurisdiction.
