Validation of the Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Population Screening Questionnaire Used in Primary Health Care Institutions of Ningxia

Abstract：OBJECTIVE To evaluate the application value of COPD population screening questionnaire(COPD-PS)in Ningxia primary health care institutions.METHODS From August 1st to December 31st,2023,631 residents aged 35 and above who went to Shengli Community Health Service Center,Litong District,Wuzhong and Guyuan People's Hospital received medical treatment,through questionnaire screening,body measurement and clinical examination,to identify COPD patients and non-patients,and use ROC curve to evaluate the screening effect of questionnaire.RESULTS Among the 631 effective samples included in the analysis,154 cases of COPD were detected,the detection rate was 24.4%.COPD-PS questionnaire had a good distinction between COPD and non-COPD population(P＜0.01).The total score area under ROC curve was 0.825(95%CI:0.7855～0.865,P＜0.01).The sensitivity,specificity,correctness index,positive predictive value,negative predictive value positive likelihood ratio and negative likelihood ratio of positive and negative predictive value were 0.779,0.744,0.523,0.496,0.913,3.042 and 0.297,respectively.CONCLUSION The COPD-PS questionnaire has good diagnostic auxiliary value,and it is worth to be applied and promoted in primary health care institutions.
