Analysis on the Epidemic Characteristics of Pulmonary Tuberculosis in Dongying District of Dongying from 2018 to 2022

Abstract：OBJECTIVE To analyze incidence trend and epidemiologic feature of pulmonary tuberculosis in Dongying District,Dongying from 2018 to 2022,and to provide reference basis for formulating more complete medical system and medical insurance policy for the local place.METHODS Descriptive epidemiological methods were used to analyze the prevalence trend and distribution of pulmonary tuberculosis in Dongying District of Dongying from 2018 to 2022.RESULTS A total of 760 cases suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis in Dongying District of Dongying were reported from 2018 to 2022,with an annually mean incidence rate reported of 22.32/105,showing a decreasing trend.Peak of the incidence mainly occurred in January,March,April and May yearly.Annual mean number of reported cases showed two peaks in March and May,a total of 169 cases were reported,accounting for 22.24%of total cases reported.The number of reported cases decreased significantly in February,November and December,a total of 122 cases were reported,accounting for 16.05%of total cases reported.Male-female ratio of the number of cases reported was 1.80∶1,showing reported incidence rate of male was higher than that of female.The most cases were from the group of farmers,which were reported of 219 cases,accounting for 28.82%of total cases reported.The second most cases were from the group of retired personnel,which were reported of 110 cases,accounting for 14.47%.The cases aged at 20 years old and above accounted for 93.55%of total cases reported and young adults aged at 20～39 years old who suffered from the disease accounted for 33.42%of total cases reported.CONCLUSION Although the prevention and control of pulmonary tuberculosis in Dongying District of Dongying has achieved remarkable achievements,it still needs to further strengthen prevention and control measures,continuously promote finding and management work of patients in the season when the disease occurs frequently and make great efforts to carry out propaganda and education for prevention and treatment knowledge about tuberculosis and doctors'office visiting behavior,as well as provide suggestions and reference for formulation of major policies and measures in"the 14th Five-Year Plan"for prevention and treatment of tuberculosis.
