Abstract:OBJECTIVE To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of influenza in Pidu District from 2019 to 2023,and to provide basis for the scientific prevention and control of influenza and the timely adjustment of influenza prevention and control strategies in Pidu District.METHODS According to the relevant data of infectious disease surveillance in the China Disease Prevention and Control Information System, descriptive epidemiological methods were used to analyze the epidemiological characteristics of influenza in Pidu District from 2019 to 2023.RESULTS From 2019 to 2023,a total of 52 441 cases of influenza were reported in Pidu District of Chengdu. The incidence rates of influenza in each year were 723.70/105,63.76/105,224.36/105,357.37/105,and 2 572.21/105,showing a trend of first decreasing and then increasing. The peak incidence was mainly concentrated in the winter and spring seasons, and incidence rate of Pitong Street(1 614.96/105),Hongguang Street(1 049.53/105),Xipu Street(822.35/105),and Deyuan Street(785.85/105)was significantly higher than that of other streets/towns in the jurisdiction. The male to female ratio is 1.08∶1,with students as the main occupational group, accounting for 40.24%of the total incidence rate.CONCLUSION The winter and spring seasons in Pidu District of Chengdu from 2019 to 2023 were the high incidence periods of influenza, mainly occurring in urban areas. The cases were mainly male, and students and children in childcare institutions were the high-risk population for influenza. In response to the influenza epidemic situation in Pidu District,it could strengthen monitoring and early warning as well as influenza trend prediction before the winter and spring seasons, and do a good job in influenza prevention and control in schools and childcare institutions. At the same time,it will strengthen influenza vaccination and health education to reduce the level of influenza incidence.
