Epidemiological Analysis of Hand,Foot and Mouth Disease in Zhushan County from 2013 to 2022

Abstract：OBJECTIVE The epidemiological characteristics of hand-foot-mouth disease in Zhushan county of Hubei province were analyzed to provide basis for formulating control measures.METHODS Export the epidemic data of hand-foot-mouth disease(HFMD)in Zhushan county from the infectious disease monitoring module of the Chinese disease prevention and control system.Summarize the data of onset time,region,and population distribution,and establish three distribution database of hand-foot-mouth disease in Zhushan from 2013 to 2022,and analyze with descriptive epidemiological methods.RESULTS From 2013 to 2022,a total of 7451 cases of hand-foot-mouth disease(HFMD)were reported in Zhushan county,Hubei province,with an average annual reported incidence of 162.89/105,no death case.The annual reported incidence rate was the highest in 2016 and the lowest in 2015,with 278.88/105 and 56.56/105,respectively.The reported incidence of HFMD in Zhushan County from 2013 to 2022 showed an increasing trend.The epidemic situation was distributed in every township of the county,and the incidence of the disease occurred mainly from April to July,and there was a small peak in November to December.The incidence of the disease was mainly scattered children,mainly concentrated between 0 to 5 years old.The incidence rate of the population aged 2 years or more decreased gradually with age.The incidence rate reported by men was significantly higher than that of women.CONCLUSION Zhushan County's HFMD situation is critical.It should further strengthen the leadership,strengthen the comprehensive prevention and control measures,widely carry out the prevention and control of HFMD knowledge propaganda,improve the public awareness of health and disease prevention,educate residents to develop good hygiene habits such as washing hands frequently,drying clothes and bedding frequently.Enhance parents'awareness of early detection of HFMD,achieve early diagnosis,treatment,and isolation to reduce the risk of transmission.Actively carry out vaccination for HFMD in children aged 6 months to 5 years old,reduce the number of susceptible population,improve the crowd immune barrier.Continue to strengthen epidemic monitoring for scattered children and childcare children,timely identify and control the source of infection,and prevent clustered outbreaks of the epidemic.
