Analysis of Confirmatory Test Results of Reactive Samples in HIV Antibody Screening in Piangliang from 2016 to 2023

Abstract：OBJECTIVE To understand the epidemiological characteristics and trend of HIV Gansu Province Pingliang city from 2016 to 2023,to provide a scientific basis for the AIDS prevention and control in the region.METHODS HIV antibody-reactive samples detected by the disease prevention and control,medical institutions and blood collection and supply institutions of HIV primary screening laboratory in Pingliang from 2016 to 2023 were subjected to confirmatory tests and epidemiological analysis.RESULTS A total of 1 354 specimens were collected,of which 597(44.09%)were confirmed to be HIV positive,187(13.8%)were uncertain and 570(42.10%)were negative.Most of the HIV positive cases were male,and the age was mainly between 20 and 60 years old.Most HIV-positive specimens were submitted for examination by medical institutions accounting for 68.68%.Married subjects were dominant for marital stasus,accounting for 68.51%,and the occupation distribution was farmers mainly.CONCLUSION From 2016 to 2023,the number of HIV positive cases reported in Pingliang is mainly male,married and farmers,while the number of elderly people and MSM transmission cases increases year by year,mainly found by passive detection.In AIDS prevention and control work,it is necessary to focus on high-risk groups,increase AIDS prevention and control publicity,continue to promote and expand AIDS testing strategies,so as to reduce the spread of AIDS.
