Investigation of Knowledge,Attitude,and Practice Levels of Pulmonary Rehabilitation Training among COPD Patients and Analysis of Influencing Factors

Abstract：OBJECTIVE To understand the knowledge,attitudes,and practices of COPD(Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)patients regarding pulmonary rehabilitation training,analyze influencing factors,and propose corresponding improvement strategies.It provides a scientific basis for formulating clinical intervention plans to enhance the knowledge,attitudes,and practices of COPD patients in pulmonary rehabilitation training.METHODS From March to September 2023,using general information forms and the COPD patient pulmonary rehabilitation training knowledge-attitude-practice assessment scale,a convenient sampling method was employed to select 298 COPD patients admitted to our hospital as the survey participants.An investigation was conducted on their knowledge,attitudes,and practices regarding pulmonary rehabilitation training.RESULTS The overall average score of the COPD patient pulmonary rehabilitation training knowledge-attitude-practice assessment scale was(58.12±12.43)points,and the item average was(2.42±0.68)points.The score level was relatively low,with scores ranked from high to low in the order of behavior,knowledge,and belief/attitude dimensions.Multiple linear regression analysis indicated that occupation,course of the disease,primary caregiver,and whether they received guidance on pulmonary rehabilitation training were influencing factors for the knowledge,attitudes,and practices of COPD patients in pulmonary rehabilitation training(P＜0.05).CONCLUSION The level of knowledge,belief and practice of pulmonary rehabilitation training in COPD patients has not reached the ideal level.Factors such as occupation,course of disease,main daily caregivers and whether patients had received pulmonary rehabilitation training had an impact on their level of knowledge and practice.In order to improve patients'knowledge and practice of pulmonary rehabilitation training,it is necessary to formulate corresponding measures from the aspects of patients themselves,family support,medical staff and rehabilitation environment.
