Abstract：OBJECTIVE To explore the influencing factors of left ventricular hypertrophy(LVH)in community elderly patients with hypertension.METHODS A total of 365 hypertensive patients over 65 years old who participated in physical examination in Jin-yang Community Health Service Center,Pudong New Area,Shanghai from June 2021 to December 2021 were selected and divided into LVH group(n=134)and non-LVH group(n=231)using left ventricular mass index as the criterion for LVH.The demographic data and risk factors of the two groups were analyzed,and the influencing factors of LVH were analyzed by multiple logistic regres-sion.RESULTS The incidence of LVH in the elderly patients with hypertension was 36.7%.Compared with non-LVH group,LVH group was older,the proportion of females was higher,the course of hypertension was longer,and the body mass index(BMI)was higher(P＜0.05).The age(OR=1.095),female(OR=4.718),the duration of hypertension(OR=1.039)and BMI(OR=1.136)were the risk factors of LVH in the elderly patients with hypertension.CONCLUSION Old age,female,long course of hypertension and obesi-ty are the risk factors for LVH in elderly hypertensive patients in community.
