Abstract:OBJECTIVE To visually analyze the current research status and research hotspots related to nutrition in gastric cancer patients, and provide reference for further research by domestic researchers in the future.METHODS Nutrition related studies of gastric cancer patients were retrieved from Web of Science Core Collection database from January 1st,2013 to August 31st,2023.CiteSpace 6.2.R4 software was used to visualize and analyze the authors, countries, institutions, and keywords of the articles.RESULTS A total of 1 677 articles were retrieved, and the annual publication volume showed some fluctuations, but overall showed a slow growth trend, all of which were above 100.Countries and institutions such as China or the United States, and their affiliated institutions published more articles.Researchs were scattered among different countries and institutions.Research on nutrition related to gastric cancer patients had shifted from etiology of the disease(helicobacter pylori infection),surgical complications, quality of life, the relationship between diet(mediterranean diet)and gastric cancer,to focusing on epidemiology, body composition, and sarcopenia.CONCLUSION The nutrition related content of gastric cancer patients continues to receive research attention, and future research can focus on the relationship between body composition, sarcopenia, and nutritional status of gastric cancer patients.Evidence based methods can be used to explore nutritional intervention measures for gastric cancer patients.Through targeted interventions, complications can be reduced, and patients'quality of life and survival rate can be improved.
