Abstract：Traditional Chinese medicine knowledge,as a representative of excellent traditional culture,has important practical and economic value.As traditional Chinese medicine culture gradually spreads overseas,more and more countries are discovering the economic benefits that traditional Chinese medicine knowledge can bring.For many years,due to the inadequate protection of tra-ditional Chinese medicine knowledge under the current intellectual property law system,it has been subjected to improper posses-sion and use by certain countries,resulting in frequent occurrences of"biopiracy"incidents.Currently,the country attaches great importance to the protection of traditional Chinese medicine knowledge and has provided policy support in organizational and institu-tional construction,making traditional Chinese medicine knowledge protection work at the forefront of world traditional knowledge protection.The protection of traditional Chinese medicine knowledge in the new era provides protection for the inheritance and devel-opment of traditional Chinese medicine,enabling it to better shoulder the responsibility and mission of promoting excellent tradition-al Chinese culture,and providing Chinese wisdom and solutions for promoting the construction of a human health community.
