Analysis of the Current Status of HPV and Cervical Cancer Knowledge and Factors Influencing the Willingness to be Vaccinated among Women Aged 16~45 Years in Jiading District of Shanghai

Abstract:OBJECTIVE To investigate the current status of knowledge of human papillomavirus(HPV)and cervical cancer among women aged 16~45 years in Jiading District of Shanghai,and to analyze the factors influencing the willingness to vaccinate.METHODS Selecting 16~45 year old permanent female residents in Jiading District of Shanghai who underwent community surveys from January to December 2022 as the research population,426 cases were selected as observation objects according to the principle of cluster random sampling survey.RESULTS 96.71%of the 426 respondents knew the relationship between cervical cancer and HPV,but only 22.77%of women knew the HPV infection route,and 19.72%of women knew that regular cervical cancer screening was still needed after HPV vaccination.Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that no reproductive history,low probability of HPV infection,unbelief in the preventive effect of HPV vaccine,and knowledge about HPV were generally risk factors affecting the intention of HPV vaccination in women,and previous family history of cervical cancer was a protective factor for the intention of HPV vaccination in women.CONCLUSION Women aged 16~45 years in Jiading District,Shanghai,have a higher degree of awareness of the relationship between HPV and cervical cancer,but less targeted knowledge,and should be targeted at the risk factors of women's unwillingness(unawareness)to receive HPV vaccine,comprehensive and in-depth cervical cancer prevention and control publicity work for the above groups of people to help increase the rate of HPV vaccination.
