Analysis on the Changes of Parturient Characteristics in a Tertiary Hospital from 2018 to 2022

Abstract：OBJECTIVE To analyze the changes of parturient characteristics such as the trend of the number of pregnant women,delivery mode,adverse pregnancy outcome and pregnancy risk factors in a tertiary hospital from 2018 to 2022,so as to provide a ba-sis for improving the ability of parturient treatment.METHODS Medical records administration were reviewed,basic information,par-turient mode,adverse pregnancy outcome,high-risk pregnancy and other indicators were collected,and Chi-square test,trend chi-square test,univariate analysis of variance,SNK-q test and other statistical methods were used to investigate the changes in the internal characteristics of parturient women.RESULTS From 2018 to 2022,the number of women giving birth in the top three hospi-tals showed a fluctuating downward trend,from 9 216 in 2018 to 7 218 in 2022,among which the number of women gave birth reached the highest peak in 2019(10 084),and then the number of women gave birth declined rapidly,and the decline rate tended to be stable in 2022.From 2018 to 2022,the proportion of elderly parturients in the top three hospitals showed an increasing trend year by year.The proportion of elderly women giving birth was the highest in 2018,at 24.61%,fell rapidly in 2019,and then in-creased year by year to reach 22.39%in 2022.There was a significant difference in the proportion of elderly paraements in the three top hospitals(χ2= 6.819,P＜0.05).In terms of delivery outcomes,the rate of cesarean section and painless delivery showed an in-creasing trend year by year,and the proportion of low birth weight infants in adverse pregnancy outcomes showed an increasing trend,while the proportion of giant infants showed a decreasing trend.The risk factors of parturient women showed an increasing trend from year to year,and the proportion of risk factors of elderly parturient women was higher.CONCLUSION From 2018 to 2022,the number of parturients,the proportion of elderly parturients,the adverse pregnancy outcomes and risk factors of parturients all in-creased year by year.It is suggested that the management of high-risk pregnancy should be strengthened to reduce obstetric risk fac-tors and protect the life and health of mothers and newborns.
