Analysis of Screening Results of Retinopathy in Type 2 Diabetic Patients in Jiading Distinct of Shanghai

Abstract：OBJECTIVE To investigate the occurrence and influencing factors of Diabetic Retinopathy(DR)in diabetic residents in Jiading District,to provide reference for the management of diabetic patients in the future.METHODS DR examination was con-ducted in 13 communities of the jurisdiction for type 2 diabetes patients in 2017.Screening includes vision,computerized optometry and fundus photography,and follow-up screening will be carried out in 2021.RESULTS In 2017,13 184 patients participated in screening for diabetic retinopathy in Jiading District,including 6 233 males(47.28%)and 6951 females(52.72%).In terms of age distribution,the majority of participants were 60～69 years old,accounting for 50.16%,followed by 70～79 years old,50～59 years old,below 50 years old and 80 years old and above,accounting for 24.83%,20.05%,2.49%and 2.47%,respectively.A total of 2 004 patients with DR were detected by screening,the detection rate was 15.20%,male 15.58%,female 14.86%.The detection rate of＜50 years old group was the highest(17.99%),followed by 50～59 years old group(17.14%),and≥80 years old group was the lowest(10.43%).The results of DR staging showed that 927,800,251 and 26 cases were in mild,moderate,severe and proliferative stages,accounting for 46.26%,39.92%,12.52%and 1.30%,respectively.The results of multiple factors showed that age and cata-ract were correlated with the incidence of DR disease.Compared with the age group≥80 years old,patients aged＜50 years old,50～59 years old and 60～69 years old may have a greater risk of DR disease.Diabetic patients with cataracts may be at greater risk of developing DR.CONCLUSION Compared with the age group≥80 years old,patients aged＜80 years old may have a greater risk of DR.
