Investigation and Analysis of Scoliosis in 6395 Primary and Middle School Students

Abstract：OBJECTIVE To analyze the prevalence of scoliosis in primary and middle school students and its influencing factors,so as to provide evidence for early intervention and prevention of scoliosis.METHODS 6 395 primary and middle school students were screened for scoliosis and investigated by questionnaire.RESULTS the abnormal rate of scoliosis was 12.38%in primary and middle school students,and there was no significant difference between boys and girls,the abnormal degree of scoliosis was charac-terized by poor posture and degree curvature,and the most common parts of scoliosis were thoracic and thoracolumbar segments,with the improvement of grade and learning stage,the abnormal rate of thoracic-lumbar-thoracolumbar segment showed an increas-ing trend,the abnormal rate of scoliosis was significantly decreased.CONCLUSION The major cause of scoliosis in children and ado-lescents is non-structural scoliosis.The principles of prevention,regular screening,early treatment,early correction and cooperative management should be strictly implemented,to take comprehensive measures to prevent and control scoliosis,reduce the abnormal rate of scoliosis,further improve the physical and mental health of children and adolescents and health care level.
