Analysis of Factors Influencing Myopia of Primary and Middle School Students Based on Social Ecological Systems Theory

Abstract:OBJECTIVE To analyze the basic situation and influencing factors of myopia among primary and secondary school students in Hechuan,and put forward targeted suggestions for improving myopia of primary and secondary school students.METH-ODS From January to March 2023,two primary schools,two junior high schools,two ordinary high schools and one vocational high school were selected by random sampling method.Then,according to the grade stratification,a cluster sampling was carried out with the class as the unit,and a total of 3 077 people were included.Taking the social ecosystem theory as the research framework,ana-lyzing the influencing factors of myopia from the micro,meso and macro levels.RESULTS The overall myopia rate surveyed is 64.51%.The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that in the micro level,the school period,the frequency of drinking Sweetened beverage or eating fried food,the activity place between classes,the average time of reading and writing after school,rest time after close eye contact,and high intensity exercise for more than 60 minutes were the influencing factors.In the me-dian level,seat timing adjustment(1 semester),the desk and chair were adjusted according to the height(1 academic year),the par-ents allowed less exercise for homework or Cram school,whether the teacher reminded to pay attention to the reading and writing posture,whether the parents were nearsighted,and visual inspection are the influencing factors.In the macro level,area was the in-fluencing factor.CONCLUSION More attention should be paid to the pre myopia group.Students should reduce the time of close eye use and eat reasonably.Schools and parents should jointly create a vision friendly"home school"environment.Urban and rural ar-eas should have different prevention and control priorities.
