Abstract:OBJECTIVE To understand the nutritional status and its changing trends of primary and secondary school students in a certain district of Shanghai from 2017 to 2020,providing a reference for the government to formulate effective nutrition intervention measures.METHODS From 2017 to 2020,a stratified cluster random sampling method was used to randomly select 10 primary and secondary schools from 390 primary and secondary schools in a district of Shanghai to carry out nutritional status survey, obtaining height, weight, waist circumference, hip circumference and other data.A total of 40 043 students were included in the survey and their nutritional status was analyzed.RESULTS 40 043 primary school students were both undernourished and overnourished.Among them, the malnutrition rate, overweight rate and obesity rate of students in 2020 have increased compared with the previous three years. From 2017 to 2020,the detection rate of overweight in male students was significantly higher than that in female students, and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=30.400,25.477,50.119,109.963,P<0.05).The obesity rate of male students was significantly higher than that of female students, and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=82.137,114.089,121.394,148.466,P<0.05).In 2017 and 2018,the malnutrition detection rate of urban students was significantly lower than that of rural students, and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=11.139,24.777,P<0.05).From 2017 to 2020,the obesity detection rate of urban students was significantly higher than that of rural students, and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=14.421,29.934,5.990,7.442,P<0.05).From 2017 to 2020,the malnutrition detection rate of students gradually increased with the increase of school level, and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=26.841,39.942,26.442,8.242,P<0.05).The detection rate of obesity gradually decreased with the increase of school level, and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=74.923,81.657,52.506,7.066,P<0.05).CONCLUSION The nutritional status of students in the district is of concern, and effective intervention measures should be taken as soon as possible to reduce the incidence of obesity and malnutrition, and promote the health of students through targeted strategies.
