Abstract：The death data of residents is one of the important indicators to reflect people's health status.Tongzhou District of Nantong ensured the high quality monitoring of resident causes of death and the collection of complete and accurate death data by improving the management system,establishing a monitoring network,strengthening business training,implementing performance assessment,and carrying out departmental collaboration.In view of the problems affecting the development of cause of death monitoring,such as frequent changes in the staff of cause of death monitoring,inadequate village level work and uncertain floating population,countermeasures and suggestions were put forward to strengthen the stability of cause of death monitoring team,the standardization of management,the professionalism of personnel and the efficiency of guidance and assessment.
