Abstract:OBJECTIVE To provide theoretical support for the prevention and treatment of hypertension in Jinghu District by un-derstanding the blood pressure control, obesity distribution and knowledge of hypertension prevention and treatment in the communi-ty of Jinghu District in Wuhu.METHODS From July to August of 2023,231 hypertensive patients who had been under management for more than 1 year from the basic public health service information system of Wuhu were randomly selected to complete a question-naire.RESULTS The rate of blood pressure control in the community-managed hypertension patients was 74.0%;the blood pressure control rate of the treated group(75.6%)was significantly higher than that of the untreated group(40.0%).The central obesity rate was 43.3%,and it showed a decreasing trend with increasing educational level. The awareness rate of various types of hypertension knowledge showed an upward trend with the increase of educational level, among which the awareness rate of four types of knowledge, such as the critical value of hypertension, showed a downward trend with age.CONCLUSION Although the community management of hypertension in Jinghu District has achieved some success, but the patients are overweight or obesity rate is high, hypertension prevention and treatment knowledge is relatively insufficient. Therefore, health education should be carried out for middle-aged and elderly people with lower educational levels,in order to further improve the level of community hypertension management in Jinghu District.
