Necessity and Feasibility of the Third Party Participation in Long-term Care Insurance Supervision

Abstract:OBJECTIVE To explore the necessity and feasibility of introducing third sector's participation in the supervision of long-term care insurance.METHODS Through literature induction analysis,cross-sectional survey and other methods,the policy lit-erature,current situation and specific mode of third sector's participation in long-term care insurance supervision in China were clarified.RESULTS Both national and local policies call for the introduction of social third parties to participate in long-term care in-surance supervision,so as to alleviate the pressure of government supervision manpower shortage.At the same time,different models of third sector's participation in long-term care insurance supervision have been explored and achieved certain results.Combined with relevant international experiences,third sector's participation in long-term care insurance supervision is necessary and feasi-ble.CONCLUSION It is imperative to introduce social third parties to participate in the supervision of long term care insurance,and many places have explored and formed different third party participation supervision models and achieved results,suggesting that third party forces are feasible in participating in the whole or part of the supervision of long term care insurance.
