Abstract:OBJECTIVE Retrospective analysis of one case of human metapneumovirus infection in a certain kindergarten to provide reference for related epidemic prevention and control.METHODS Analyze a clustered epidemic that occurred in June 2022,and use retrospective analysis of epidemiological data to analyze the relationship between the source of infection, transmission chain, and other factors.RESULTS Four cases showed class clustering, with a duration of 5 days.On June 21st,there was 1 case,2 cases on June 22nd,7 cases on June 23rd,4 cases on June 24th,and 1 case on June 25th.The peak incidence was concentrated from June 23rd to 24th;All cases had fever, cough in 13 cases, tonsil enlargement in 8 cases, pharyngeal congestion in 7 cases, and phlegm in 4 cases.Clinical diagnosis included 5 cases of acute bronchitis,3 cases of acute upper respiratory tract infection,2 cases of bacterial infection,1 case of acute tonsillitis, and 1 case of pneumonia. The other 2 affected children have not yet sought medical attention; There was no significant difference in the attack rate rate between the sexes(χ2=0.486,P>0.05).A total of 3 throat swab samples from 3 fever cases were collected, and 3 cases of human metapneumovirus were detected, with a positive rate of 100.00%.CONCLUSION The initial symptoms of this clustered epidemic ware fever and other related factors.Based on clinical symptoms and laboratory testing results,it is classified as a"clustered fever epidemic caused by human metapneumovirus infection".For the school epidemic, timely suspension of classes is the most effective prevention and control measure, but the actual difficulty is great. In addition to strengthening disinfection, suspending collective activities, and health promotion measures, frequent hand washing and wearing masks are the most effective prevention measures.
