Abstract:OBJECTIVE To explore the gender difference of association between nonalcoholic fatty liver diseases(NAFLD)and age and influencing factors among college staff.METHODS 3 003 college staff of a university in Beijing who participated in physical examination in 2019 were selected as the subjects of study.Generalized additive models(GLM)were used to explore the linear or non-linear relationship between age and NAFLD of different sex groups, multivariate logistic regression was used to further analyze the re-lationship between NAFLD and the influencing factors of excessive BMI,dyslipidemia, diabetes, hypertension, abnormal liver func-tion,hyperuricemia and high sensitivity C-reactive protein in each group.RESULTS 45.54%of male and 25.59%of female college staff were detected with NAFLD and the highest risk age of NAFLD was 51.00 and 60.36 years old, respectively.Excessive BMI,dys-lipidemia and abnormal liver function were independent influencing factors for NAFLD among male under 51.00 and excessive BMI,dyslipidemia, diabetes and hyperuricemia were independent influencing factors of NAFLD among male aged 51.00 or over(P<0.05).Other factors were independent influencing factors for NAFLD except for high-sensitivity C-reactive protein among female under 60.36 and diabetes and hypertension were no longer independent influencing factors for NAFLD among female aged 60.36 or over(P<0.05).CONCLUSION There were age and gender difference of the prevalence rate and influencing factors of NAFLD among uni-versity college staff.
