Analysis of Factors Influencing the Performance of Rural Order Oriented Medical Students:Taking A Certain Province as an Example

Abstract:OBJECTIVE By investigating the current performance status of rural order oriented medical students and analyzing their influencing factors,feasible suggestions are proposed to further improve the relevant policies for rural order oriented medical students.METHODS From January to May of 2022,568 students from 7 universities in Hunan were selected for a questionnaire sur-vey to analyze the current status and influencing factors of fulfillment of rural order oriented medical students.RESULTS 61.97%of rural order oriented medical students had no knowledge of general practitioners before college,and 85.39%of rural order oriented medical students voluntarily served at grassroots medical and health service institutions for six years after graduation.The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis show that the influencing factors of rural order oriented medical students'voluntary perfor-mance include their place of origin,grade of study,major,motivation to apply,whether they voluntarily apply,policy recognition,and whether they have the idea of seeking alternative employment.CONCLUSION The overall performance status of rural order ori-ented medical students is improving,but the policy awareness and career drive of rural order oriented medical students still need to be strengthened.
