Development and Reliability and Validity Analysis of Professional Quality Evaluation Scale of Elderly Nursing Staff in Medical and Nursing Combined Institutions for the Aged

Abstract：OBJECTIVE To construct a professional quality evaluation scale for nursing staff of medical-nursing combined institu-tions for the aged,and test its reliability and validity.METHODS The professional quality evaluation scale for nursing staff of medi-cal-nursing combined institutions for the aged was developed through literature review and Delphi method.A total of 1 420 nursing staff of medical-nursing combined institutions for the aged were selected to test the reliability and validity.RESULTS Exploratory fac-tor analysis extracted a total of 4 common factors and the cumulative variance contribution rate reached 80.940％.The AVE and CR of 4 dimensions were 0.715～0.842、0.950～0.990,the AVE square root of each dimension was larger than its correlation coefficient with other dimensions.The overall Cronbach's αcoefficient of the scale was 0.990,and Cronbach's αcoefficients of each dimen-sions were 0.989,0.981,0.981,0.949.CONCLUSION The scale has a good reliability and validity,which can provide a basis for employ,training,assessment and evaluation of Nursing staff of medical-nursing combined institutions for the aged.
