Epidemiological Characteristics of Notifiable Infectious Diseases in Chenghua District of Chengdu, 2017

Abstract:OBjECTIVE To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of notifiable infectious diseases in Chenghua District in 2017, so as to provide the scientific evidence for disease control and prevention planning. METHODS The data of notifiable infectious diseases in Chenghua District in 2017 were collected from the Disease Reporting Information System, and analyzed by using the descriptive epidemiological methods. RESULTS In total of 20 kinds of class A, B and C notifiable infectious disease were reported in Chenghua District with sum of 3 845 cases, and the annual reported incidence rate was 418.24/lakh. The top 5 infectious diseases were hand-foot-mouth disease, other infectious diarrhea, syphilis, pulmonary tuberculosis and hepatitis B, accounting for 81.14% of the total cases. The annual incidence rate of the male was higher than the female. These cases were mainly scattered children and kindergarten children, accounting for 56.46% of the total cases. Among class B communicable diseases, the incidence rate of blood/sexually transmitted infectious diseases was the highest (65.44%) followed by respiratory infectious disease (27.93%), intestinal infectious diseases (6.48%). CONCLUSION It should strengthen that the prevention and control of infectious diseases in Chenghua District. The key infectious diseases included syphilis, hepatitis B, HIV/AIDS, pulmonary tuberculosis, hand-foot-mouth disease and other infectious diarrhea. The key group were scattered children, kindergarten children, household workers, retired people and farmers.
