Epidemiologic Study on Psoriasis in Hexi Region of Gansu
Abstract：OBjECTIVE To analyze the prevalence of psoriasis of 3 cities in Hexi Region of Gansu Province. METHODS 17 302 residents of three cities in Hexi Region of Gansu Province were selected by cluster sampling method. The prevalence of psoriasis was assessed by questionnaire and clinical examination. The characteristics of psoriasis were observed, and the influencing factors were analyzed. RESULTS 97 of the residents were diagnosed as psoriasis in 17 302 cases, the prevalence rate was 0.56％. There was no statistical significance in different cities, age, sex, marital status, educational level and occupation residents (P>0.05). The family history, smoking history, infection history, mental state, drinking and eating mutton were closely related to the pathogenesis of psoriasis. CONCLUSION The incidence of psoriasis in Hexi Region of Gansu Province was essentially equal to the national average level, the population distribution of the disease was more average, and many factors would promote the occurrence of psoriasis.
