Investigation on Hypertension Prevention and Control Knowledge among Cardiac Hypertension Inpatients in Coastal Areas and Its Prevention and Control Strategy

Abstract:OBJECTIVE To investigate the knowledge of hypertension prevention and control among hospitalized patients with hypertension in coastal areas, and put forward specific prevention and control strategies. METHODS From January 2017 to December 2017, 70 inpatients with hypertension were selected from the Department of Cardiology. Self-designed questionnaires were used to investigate the knowledge of hypertension prevention and control. Corresponding prevention and control strategies were proposed for the investigation results.RESULTS In the degree of knowledge about hypertension, the highest degree was college education or above, the lowest was in primary school education, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05), and the degree of knowledge of hypertension in patients with the increase in the level of education. In terms of the number of hospitalizations, patients with a high number of hospitalizations had a higher level of knowledge about hypertension than patients with a low number of hospitalizations (P<0.05). The education and network of health care personnel were used to obtain knowledge about hypertension as the main method. CONCLUSION The Department of Cardiology should strengthen the knowledge training for medical personnel in the prevention and control of hypertension, in order to provide hypertension education and health education to different hypertension hospitalized patients, strengthen the building of departmental network platform, and improve the prevention of hypertension through network technology.
