Abstract:OBJECTIVE To understand the epidemiological characteristics and influencing factors of dyslipidemia in adult residents in Nanjing Chemical Industry Region, and to provide references for prevention and control of dyslipidemia, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. METHODS The stratified random sampling method was used to conduct physical examination and laboratory tests on10 433 permanent residents aged 18 years and older in the chemical region;the relationship between blood lipid levels and related factors were analyzed. RESULTS Serum levels of TC, TG, HDL-C and LDL-C in adult residents of Nanjing Chemical Industry Park were (4.66±1.06) mmol/L, (1.53±1.36) mmol/L, (1.40±0.45) mmol/L and (2.77±0.85) mmol/L. There were no gender differences in TC and LDL-C levels;TG levels were higher in men than in women, and HDL-C levels were lower in men than in women. The dyslipidemia rate of adult residents in the chemical park was 47.14% (50.81% for males and 43.50% for females), and the standardization rate was 46.66%. The males were higher than females, and the difference was statistically significant. With the increase of age, the abnormal rate of blood lipids in residents gradually increased. CONCLUSION The residents in Nanjing Chemical Industry Region had a high rate of abnormal blood lipids. Health education and health promotion should be strengthened to improve residents' health awareness, improve lifestyle and reduce the risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.
