Epidemiological Study of the Relationship Between Premature Birth and Pregnant Factors

Abstract：The relationship between pregnant factors and premature birth in Haizhu district of Guangzhou from 1998 to 1999 was analyzed statis tically,The results showed that less antenatal examination, premature rupture of membranes and toxemia obviously increased the risk of premature birth,the odds ratio and 95%CI was 6.757 times to the more antenatal examination,3.932 times to non-premature rupture of membranes and 6.602 times to non-toxemia,respectively.It suggested that it was important for the decreasing of premature birth to strength the health protection of pregnant period and management of high risk pregnant and lying-in woman,and reduce of obstetric complications.
