Teaching kidney pathology by flipped classroom in standardized specialist training of nephrology

Abstract：Understanding of basic injury images in kidney diseases and interpertation of diagnosis of renal biopsy reports are difficult for nephrologists,so kidney pathology education is critical in nephrology specialist training courses.Flipped classroom(FC)is an active learning pedagogical method in which the students prepare prior to class and afterward spend the time in class,discussing the content and reinforcing the concepts.FC is a positive learning experience with more engaged and active learning for students.FC represents an essential component in curricular reform in medical education in recent years.Here,we review the developing and usefulness of FC for teaching nephropathology in nephrology specialist training courses.
