Practical experience on internet-based ROPES model combining diversified teaching methods in the standardized residency training of ultrasound medicine

Abstract：Objective The ROPES(review,overview,presentation,exercise,summary)model was integrated with diversified teaching methods to explore a new teaching mode of clinical thinking course for standardized residency training in the ultrasound medicine department and to improve the quality of training.Methods Taking the clinical thinking teaching course in the standardized training of ultrasound residents as an example,this study expounded the practice process of this new teaching model in the training of clinical thinking ability of residents.The teaching effect was evaluated through classroom performance,stage assessment,year-end assessment and questionnaire survey.Results The total score of resident physicians'assessment is quite high,at(85.60±6.52)points.Residents were particularly satisfied with the improvements in ultrasound theoretical level,learning interest,self-learning ability,clinical thinking ability,teamwork ability,communication and expression ability,and relationship deepening between teachers and students.Conclusion The ROPES model based on internet combined with diversified teaching methods can stimulate the learning enthusiasm of residents,improve clinical thinking ability,and improve the teaching ability of the teachers,which is worthy promoting.
