Satisfaction and influencing factors of standardized residency training for Traditional Chinese Medicine residents in Shandong Province

Abstract:Objective To understand the current satisfaction status of standardized training resident physicians of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)in Shandong Province(referred to as residency training)with TCM residency training work,explore its influencing factors,propose improvement suggestions,and provide countermeasures for improving the quality of residency training.Methods Using a self-designed questionnaire,a survey was conducted on 1 662 third level trainees from 17 Traditional Chinese Medicine residency training bases in Shandong Province,and their influencing factors were analyzed.Results The overall satisfaction score was(23.00±4.56)points,the six dimensions of satisfaction scores from high to low were:teacher qualification evaluation(4.20±0.75)points,process management evaluation(4.05±0.84)points,training effectiveness evaluation(4.04±0.70)points,base condition evaluation(4.01±0.80)points,system design evaluation(3.86±0.93)points,and evaluation of safeguard mechanism(3.44±1.12).Logistic regression analysis showed that base attributes,training status and working hours per week were the influencing factors of residents'satisfaction(all P<0.05).Conclusion The overall satisfaction of TCM residents in Shandong Province is good.It is suggested to strengthen the top-level design and focus on quality connotation construction from the aspects of constructing multi-dimensional guarantee system,optimizing adaptive training system,perfecting high-efficiency management system,etc.,so as to increase residents'satisfaction.
