Stratified progressive training to accelerate the cultivation of musculoskeletal ultrasound physicians

Abstract：Musculoskeletal ultrasound has the advantages of high resolution,good economy and convenient operation.It is the preferred examination method for many diseases in the fields of sports injury,chronic strain,rheumatism immunity,rehabilitation and pain medicine,and has great clinical demand.However,the training cycle of musculoskeletal ultrasound physicians is long and the levels are uneven,which cannot meet the growing clinical needs.It is urgent to cultivate musculoskeletal ultrasound physicians with skilled operation,high diagnostic level and comprehensive technologies.The ultrasound medicine specialty base of West China Hospital of Sichuan University has a perfect national standardized residency training(referred to as residency training)and Sichuan specialist training(referred to as specialist training)system.The exploration of the musculoskeletal ultrasound team in our hospital clarifies that the stratified progressive training of musculoskeletal ultrasound for residents and specialists in ultrasound medicine can effectively shorten the training cycle of musculoskeletal ultrasound physicians,and quickly cultivate musculoskeletal ultrasound specialists with better diagnostic level,which is helpful to meet the huge clinical demand for musculoskeletal ultrasound.
