A new full-cycle ideological and political education model oriented towards job competency

Abstract：Objective To explore the cultivation pathway of ideological and political education(IPE)for standardized residency training(hereinafter referred to as"residency training"),establish a new practical teaching system for medical IPE,strengthen residents'sense of mission,responsibility and honor,and enhance their job competency.Methods Taking moral cultivation and personality education as the fundamental task,combining hospital practices,relying on the construction of a cluster of national-level ideological and political education and clinical practice platforms,deeply excavating Jiangxi's characteristic red ideological and political elements,integrating medical humanities education with characteristic voluntary services,a full-cycle cultivation paradigm of"simulation teaching,clinical practice,staged assessment,final feedback"was sorted out and summarized,and a new teaching system for ideological and political education in medicine was constructed.Results This study enriched the forms and connotations of medical IPE,enhanced the ability of teachers in IPE,and improved the job competency of resident trainees.It successfully established an IPE management system,integrating training,assessment,practice and evaluation.Conclusion The construction of an IPE system for residency training that integrates hospital practice,unique red IPE elements of Jiangxi Province and medical humanities helps improve teachers'IPE capabilities,resident job competency and the quality of standardized residency training management.
