Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of outcome-based education(OBE)combined with 3 D bionic models and examination systems in the teaching of otorhinolaryngology. Methods Twenty-eight resident physicians with postgraduate degrees who majored in otorhinolaryngology at the Second Hospital of Dalian Medical University from October 2023 to October 2024 were selected as the research subjects and divided into the observation group and the control group by random number method. The observation group adopted the teaching mode under the OBE educational concept.According to the evaluation of teaching achievements in theory and skills, individualized training was conducted for weak knowledge points. The control group adopted the traditional teaching mode, and only the difficult and key contents were repeatedly explained. The theoretical knowledge, skill operation assessment scores and personal quality scores of the two groups before and after the training were compared to evaluate the teaching effect. Results Before the training, there were no statistically significant differences in the assessment and scoring between the two groups(P>0.05).After the training, the scores of theoretical knowledge, skill operation assessment and personal quality ability in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of 3 D bionic models and examination systems under the OBE concept in the postgraduate teaching of otorhinolaryngology can enhance the theoretical knowledge and operational skills of resident physicians.
