Construction of the faculty evaluation and incentive system for standardized residency training in Jiangsu Province

Abstract：Objective This study aimed to investigate and analyze the construction of the faculty evaluation and incentive system for standardized residency training in Jiangsu Province,explore existing problems,propose directions for improvement and provide reference for the construction of the residency training faculty team.Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted among 628 residency training instructors in 26 national residency training bases in Jiangsu Province,with 608 valid questionnaires collected.Combined with literature research and interviews with residency training management personnel,the situation and problems of the construction of the faculty evaluation and incentive system for residency training in Jiangsu Province were described.Results The various residency training bases in Jiangsu Province actively explored and carried out the work of faculty evaluation and incentives for residency training.The questionnaire survey showed that the faculty's scores on the clarity of evaluation indicators,the combination of evaluation with personal development,and satisfaction with teaching compensation were not high.There were differences in faculty evaluation and incentives among different regions,with the southern part of Jiangsu performing better(all P<0.05).Conclusion In residency training of Jiangsu Province,the construction of teacher evaluation standards is still insufficient,and the incentive strength is not enough.It is suggested to further optimize the evaluation and incentive system for residency training faculty in Jiangsu Province through measures such as establishing provincial-level evaluation standards,balancing clinical work,scientific research and teaching,and improving the professional title promotion mechanism and career development path,to more effectively stimulate the enthusiasm and creativity of residency training instructors.
