Abstract:Objective To explore the synergistic evolution relationship between the policies and academic research on standardized residency training in China, providing a basis for improving the medical talent training system. Methods Based on bibliometric analysis and the segmented regression model,577 core journal articles and 10 policy documents from 1992 to 2024 were analyzed. Results The output of literature related to standardized residency training showed a clear characteristic of phased changes.Taking 2014 as a node,it could be divided into the budding period before policy release and the driving period after policy release. After policy release, the average annual publication volume increased by 619.3%,and the publication level increased by 29.4 articles. The research focus shifted from institutional comparison to capacity assessment and specialized deepening. Conclusion The policy and research on standardized residency training have formed a bidirectional interaction and collaborative development mechanism.Once the residency training policy is introduced,it immediately attracts research attention. However, research output is still constrained by many factors, exhibiting the dual mechanism of immediate response and cumulative aftereffect, which in turn affects the policy formulation process. It is suggested to establish a dynamic monitoring mechanism to shorten the policy response cycle, and to establish a feedback mechanism to eliminate communication barriers between policymakers and academic researchers.
