Investigation on the current situation of legal literacy and education status in the standardized training of dentists

Abstract：Objective To evaluate the legal literacy and education status in standardized training for dentists,and analyze its influencing factors and improvement strategies.Methods 69 residents in the Department of Prosthodontics,School of Stomatology,the Fourth Military Medical University from September 2022 to October 2024 were selected.Their legal literacy and legal education situation were evaluated and analyzed through questionnaire.Results Generally speaking,residents thought that their legal knowledge was insufficient.Besides,they lacked the ability of utilizing law in their clinical work.At the same time,some residents thought that the training of their legal awareness should be added into the standardized training.Conclusion The residents'legal literacy needs to be improved,and it is necessary to pay attention to the legal education in the standardized training for dentists.
