Research progress on the application of generative artificial intelligence in anesthesia education

Abstract：Generative artificial intelligence refers to artificial intelligence that can create or generate new content(such as text,images,audio and video,etc.)based on trained data.With the advent of ChatGPT at the end of 2022,generative artificial intelligence has been widely applied in various fields of medicine.At present,the development of standardized training for resident anesthesiologists in China is unbalanced.Under the traditional teaching mode,it is difficult for students to acquire systematic clinical anesthesia knowledge.The application of generative artificial intelligence in the exploration of teaching models can provide innovative teaching models for anesthesia teaching and further improve the quality and standardization of anesthesia teaching.This article reviews the definition of generative artificial intelligence and its application and limitations in anesthesia teaching,aiming to reveal its significance for anesthesia teaching,with the expectation of providing reference for the exploration of anesthesia teaching models.
