Visual analysis of current situation of scientific research ability cultivating of residents in standardized residency training in China and its countermeasures

Abstract：Objective To visually analyze the literature on the cultivation of scientific research ability in standardized residency training in China,and explore the research hotspots and trends in this field.Methods We retrieved relevant literature concerning the cultivation of scientific research ability in standardized residency training in the China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database between January 2013 and September 2023.The publication time,authors,institutions,journals and keywords were visually analyzed by CiteSpace and Excel software.Results A total of 180 articles were included in this study.The number of articles published was increasing year by year,with a stable annual publication volume of over 20 articles in the past five years.The research institutions and authors were mainly concentrated in affiliated hospitals of higher medical colleges,and there was a lack of communication and cooperation among researchers.After removing the keywords related to the search terms,the top three keywords in terms of frequency were"education"(14 articles),"clinical medicine"(13 articles)and"professional degree"(12 articles),while the top three in terms of centrality were"anesthesia"(0.16),"education"(0.11)and"professional degree"(0.05).The clustering and emergent words analysis suggested that"clinical research"and"satisfaction"were two emerging research hotspots in this field.Conclusion The research on the cultivation of scientific research ability in standardized residency training in China has increasingly been valued,but this field is still a blue ocean of research and is worthy of collaborative research by scholars and institutions.With the improvement of the quality requirements for residents,it may be necessary to gradually strengthen the cultivation of scientific research ability and carry out relevant research in the future,while satisfying the basic training requirements of professional competency.
