Abstract:Medical education is an important cornerstone for the development of the healthcare service. For medical talents with the dual identity of graduate students and residents, the training of professional master's degree graduates in clinical medicine plays an important role in medical education and the healthcare service. However, there are some problems and challenges in the process of cultivating professional master's degree graduates in clinical medicine. These include the lack of unified management of educating and cultivating talents, with ideological and political education and teaching management being"seperaled from each other";the excessive specialty-orientation of the cultivated disciplines, leading to"narrow-minded"research thinking;and the asynchrony of personal development plans between teachers and students, which makes the educational work fall into a state of confusion. To some extent, these problems have affected the cultivation quality and effect for professional master's degree graduates in clinical medicine. To address the issues and challenges faced during the training of professional master's degree graduates in clinical medicine, the First Affiliated Hospital,Zhejiang University School of Medicine, since 2018,has explored and implemented a high-level clinical medicine talent cultivation model called"One Center,Three Fusions",which focuses on the all-round development of professional master's degree graduates in clinical medicine in terms of morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics and labor. This model integrates political and ideological education with teaching management, promotes interdisciplinary integration, and aligns the development paths of faculty and students, thereby achieving remarkable results in talent cultivation and providing brand-new ideas for the cultivation of professional master's degree graduates in clinical medicine.
